replaces his father in some shots, as the two bear an uncanny resemblance. Visible throughout the first season, Dexter has a large scar on his left side. Later, in season 2, the scar moved to his right side, leaving his left side unmarked..

Dexter creates a compelling and highly detailed portrait of, let’s say, a troubled, sociopath
Dexter, a forensic scientist by day, a serial killer with a bit of a vigilante streak by night. One of the parts of the show that I like the most is the emotions that normal people show, forcing Dexter to imitate them. Good laughs when the emotions that Dexter acts out become real, and he is scared out of his mind, like in relation to his "girlfriend" Rita, a mother of two and a victim of her abusive ex-boyfriend.
Exciting story, lots of details and one of the best opening sequences ever
I also liked the performance of Jennifer Carpenter as Dexter’s sister Debra, who adds a nice color to the show, without getting into clichés.
