Story
A Montana ranching family faces off against others who encroach on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is an expert in the rodeo world. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) seems to frequently “forget” his Montana accent and reverts to the Southern California voice he often uses. Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 Summer TV Shows Not on Your Radar (2018) Yellowstone is a solidly written drama (great characters, well crafted) that draws its tone from a few different modern masterpieces. It has the feel and cinematography of Longmire, the plot and grim outlook of The Sopranos, and the dramatic dynamics of shows like “Dynasty” or any other network drama similar to that. You have to respect Costner and Cole Hauser a lot – these guys give it their all. I didn’t expect to be drawn to this show the way I was. It’s worth your time.
